A certain politico recently took the initiative to save several goats brought to a Kovil for sacrifice. Ever since this incident, the politicos have begun visiting this Kovil in a stream to make vows and hold Poojas, they say.
Most politicos who turn up at this Kovil with Pooja trays for supplication are those aspiring to get a nomination to contest at the upcoming polls from the main political parties, they say.
There are even high political authorities among the new rush of devotees and special poojas are reportedly being held at this Kovil to invoke the blessings of the Deva Maaniyo on them.
