The Colombo district Green party stalwart is facing the threat of a legal noose falling around his neck these days. However, he continues to concentrate his efforts on doing the greatest possible damage to the Saji-led Samagi Balavegaya, they say.
He is also said to be eyeing Saji’s deputy post which appears to be within his reach.
The Colombo stalwart has already planned to institute disciplinary action against Saji in a bid to relieve him of his deputy post. Some in the party’s decision-making body has already given him the greenlight, they say.
Meanwhile, the Colombo stalwart had invited the former Green backbenchers to throw in their lot with him to start a new political journey, adding that they would have no political future if they were to follow Saji’s leadership.
By the way, the new Balavegaya’s high-ups are said to be closely monitoring every move being made by the Colombo stalwart, they say.
