A prominent politico who is believed to have had close ties with a notorious character much talked about in the country these days, is said to be spending much of his time phoning up his political buddies to protest his innocence.
It is no secret among some Diyawanna politicos that the notorious character had generously financed the wedding of the prominent politico’s son, they say.
The politico fearing the possibility of being questioned by investigators sooner or later is said to be trying to preempt bad publicity he is about to get by making a vain bid to impress all and sundry that his hands are clean.
