‘Eagle attack’ boomerangs!

The former number one’s pubic statement that he would attack his targets like an eagle has highly perturbed his own blue party loyalists, they say.  

 

The implications of his aggressive statement have already made an adverse impact on the Blue party politicos who were planning to make it to Diyawanna with the support of Pohottuwa supporters as well.  

These highly distraught Blue party politicos fear that the Pohottuwa voters who would have read meanings into the Blue party chief’s statement may have decided not to support the Blue party candidates.   

There are three Blue politicos who are more upset over the fallout of the hard-hitting ‘eagle’ statement than others, they say.   

One of them is said to be a Colombo district politico with an abiding interest in the gentlemen’s game. There is another from the Gampaha district who had once been very close to the former Madam. The third one is said to be hailing from the Sabaragamuwa whose name reminds one of tamarind used in cooking.   

The threesome is said to be seething with anger over the ‘eagle’ statement which they fear has greatly affected the chances of their winning the preference vote of the Pohottuwa supporters.
