Chief prelate puts his foot down!

Following the announcement made by a Maha Nayake that he would not give audience to any politico in future, some politicos are said to be calling on the Anunayake on the sly.

Two political authorities at the top team level who had recently called on the Anunayake had  later tried to secure an audience with the chief prelate without success, they say.

Several other prominent politicos too had sought an opportunity to call on the chief prelate, but had received no positive response to their requests, they say.
