Blind to what followers see!

There is a prominent character grooming himself to enter the race for Number One due in November this year despite the ongoing ho ha about a general poll close at hand.

He had recently got down a group of foreign publicity experts for planning out his propaganda campaign. He has already planned to bring out in print several booklets both about what he had already done for the people and what he proposes to do for them once back in office. He has also got up a special programme targeted to benefit the womenfolk who account for more than 50 per cent of the country’s population.

However, these campaign preparations have irked most his loyalists, they say.

Three Blue followers of the prominent character at a rendezvous at the Diyawanna lobby had concluded that the ground realities in their respective districts did not present a rosy picture for their boss.

The Diyawanna politico from Uva who participated in this pow-wow had remarked with a sigh:

“It’s a pity that our man is blind to the ground situation!
