The 20A has become the main talking point both in political circles and the public domain these days.
Meanwhile, this hot topic had figured at an informal discussion among the government high-ups themselves held at Diyawanna the other day. In fact, it is these high-ups who have to share the responsibility for this Amendment.
Some of these top men had at this discussion posed the question: “Why was the 20A structured in its present shape?” However, there had been none who could provide a satisfactory answer to this question. Later, the high-ups had asked a top person: “Boss, who really framed this? Did you have a hand in it?”
“Oh! No!” was the firm reply. “I only took the measurements. Tailoring was done by others!” he explained.
“Okay! Then who placed the order with the tailor,” the high-ups asked.
This question had drawn a laugh from the stalwart handling the subject. “Let us discuss it later!” he had said and had beaten a hasty retreat.
