There is a move by some influential politicos to appoint a retired security officer as the Security Consultant of the august assembly when there is the possibility of selecting a well-qualified experienced person from among those already in service to fill the vacancy, they say.
At the moment, there are over 200 security personnel on duty at the august assembly and there are experienced personnel among them who easily qualify for appointment as a Consultant. However, a retired person with political connections is being considered for this high post, they say.
