A piece of land located in a Mahaweli zone which had already been identified as a suitable site for a Day Care Centre has been given on a special permit to a school-going son of a provincial politico through the intervention of an influential young politico, they say.
A close buddy of a purohita at State level, this local politico had switched over to Pohottuwa quite recently.
A resident manager of the Mahaweli zone had earlier approved the transfer of the land for siting a Day Care Centre on the request of a ‘historic’ council, they say.
