United Motors launches Mitsubishi Mirage

United Motors Plc launched the Mitsubishi “Mirage’, a compact fuel-efficient car with a capacity of 1.2 liters petrol engine in to the local auto market this week.

The United Motors Lanka Plc, Chief Executive Officer, Chanaka Yatawara stated, `With top- class fuel efficiency among gasoline vehicles of 21 kilometers per liter under test conditions, depending on driving style and conditions, low carbon emission as well as its trendy sporty style, we expect that this model will have good demand.’The mirage adds on several features. It could be handled on both manual and automatic transmission, includes driver and passenger airbags Along with an anti –trap windows and anti –lock breaking system with an electronic brake distribution. The Mitsubishi Mirage is priced at 3.5 million rupees.

During the year 2012,United Motors Plc, ploughed back a profit of 623 million rupees. They assume this financial year would be a challenge, but looks forward with optimism.
