Thilak takes office for second time

Thilak Karunaratne assumed duties as the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) yesterday. Previously, Karunaratne served in the same capacity from December 2011 to August 2012.

 

After completion of his secondary education at Ananda College, Colombo, he entered the University of Ceylon and graduated with a BSc. in Chemistry. He is also a Chartered Chemist.He was a Member of Parliament for 12 years up to the year 2000 when he resigned on his own to rejoin the private sector.
