The Pegasus Reef Hotel introduces its sea food restaurant “The Fishery”

Pegasus Reef Beach hotel, Hendala Wattala one of Sri Lanka’s first five start hotels in the country located near the beach, overlooking the Colombo Harbour, launched its latest  sea food dining experience ‘The Fishery’ on the 17th of October 2015. The opening of this authentic restaurant was heralded with an ambience of cocktails and jazz music, with The Chief Guests Mr. Chandima Gunawardena - Chairman of Pegasus Reef Hotel and Mr. Paddy Withana - Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authourity gracing the occasion. The Fishery offers the discerning palate an opportunity to relish the flavours of exotic sea food cuisine, set in an open air theme this restaurant will set the standards for restaurants’ in  the area it operates. The key highlight of this restaurant is “the Fresh Catch of the day” on display, from which the guests can choose their preferred choice of seafood to be prepared in a cooking style of their choice.

Elegantly located overlooking the sea, The Fishery is situated within the premises of this historic hotel and comprises of an upper deck of the restaurant which was constructed with the idea of a cocktail lounge in mind and comprises of an open balcony; allowing its guest an ambience of tranquillity, whilst pampering them with a breath taking view of some of the most beautiful sunsets. 

With a philosophy of “We cook, what you choose, the way you want”; The Fishery follows the concept of a seafood market, with an emphasis on offering variety, freshness and quality to patrons. Chef Rajapaksha – Sous Chef and his team at the restaurant offer patrons several methods of cooking seafood from the freshest catch of the day. Dinners can choose their sauce, cooking method (grilled, steamed, fried, curried) and style (Thai, Sri Lankan, Chinese, Indian, Continental). Then relax with a drink while the team at The Fishery serve customer the best seafood on offer.
