Ravi Finance Minister, Arjuna CB Governor

United National Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayke is tipped to be appointed as the Finance Minister of the new Cabinet of President Maithripala Sirisena with economist and investment banker Arjuna Mahendran the Central Bank Governor.
Mahendran, son of diplomat Charlie Mahendran, had served as Chief of the Board of Investment (BOI) during the government of Chandrika Kumaratunga earlier. He had worked as the Managing Director of the HSBC (2009-2013).His last served as the Chief Investment Officer for Emirates NDB Bank.
Meanwhile, former National Development Bank Chief and ex-United Motors Chairman Ranjith Fernando is tipped to be appointed as the Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission.
