GSK to set up Rs.200mn plant to produce Iodex and Eno locally

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the world’s largest research based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in the world is planning to invest Rs.200 million Sri Lanka to set up a manufacturing plant to locally produce its well known pain relief balm and gastritis treatment pill.

The state-of-the art facility will be inaugurated in the first quarter of 2013 and will produce two of its well known brands, Iodex and Eno.

GSK has been operating in Sri Lanka since 1958, marketing pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
