CIC Bids Farewell to Former Director E.F.G. Amerasinghe

CIC Holdings recently bid farewell to E.F.G. Amerasinghe who served as a Director on the board of CIC Holdings PLC from 2002 to 2014.  E.F.G. Amerasinghe  resigned from his position as Director effective of 2 January 2015.


Commenting on E.F.G. Amerasinghe’s tenure as a Director on the board, Harsha Amarasekera, Chairman, CIC Holdings stated: “It has been an honour to work with a vastly experienced and balanced  professional of the calibre of Mr E.F.G. Amerasinghe. His dedication and experience has assisted CIC Holding PLC to become what it is today. We at CIC would like to thank him for his contribution in all areas, particularly  in the areas of Human Resources Management and Labour Relations. We wish him all success in his future endeavours.”


E.F.G. Amerasinghe holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Ceylon and is an Attorney-at-Law. He has served the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon for 26 years and was the first Director General of the organisation after its reorganisation. He has also served the ILO as a Senior Employers’ Specialist responsible for the East Asian Region. E.F.G.  Amerasinghe has authored a number of books on a  wide range of subjects- including Labour law and Industrial relations, chapters for several publications and also produced training material used in Sri Lanka and abroad. He also serves on the Board of John Keells Holdings PLC as a Senior Independent Director.  


Appointed in 2002, E.F.G. Amerasinghe has contributed immensely to the success of CIC Holdings for over twelve years.
