Amana Bank Refurbishes Radiology Unit at Cancer Hospital

Amana Bank recently extended its support to refurbish the Radiology Unit of the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama. The refurbishment project was undertaken with the aim of providing an efficient and speedy service to patients. The refurbishment included supply of furniture, PCs and X-ray Illuminators to the unit.

The refurbished unit was declared opened under the presence of Amana Bank’s Chief Operating Officer Mr Mohamed Azmeer, VP Consumer Banking & Strategic Marketing Mr Siddeeque Akbar and CFO Mr Ali Wahid. Dr Nishan Siriwardena and other consultants of the hospital were also present during the event.

Speaking at this special occasion, Mr Azmeer said “As a responsible corporate citizen in the banking industry we are happy to carry out such a project which will definitely add value to the community. We intend in continuing our support towards such endeavours” Dr. Siriwardena highly appreciated the Bank’s generous gesture and looked forward to working with them in their yeoman services.

As a Bank that values ethics and responsibility to be important as making profits and gains, Amana Bank has initiated many projects that focus on health-care which also includes the maintenance of the Children’s Ward at the Kalubowila General Hospital.
