A Thai woman, who allegedly purchased goods from super markets using a forged credit card, was remanded by Panadura Chief Magistrate Ruchira Weliwatta till September 29.

She had been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Department when she produced the forged credit card to pay for some consumer items at a super market in Panadura town. The suspect, Thipanhanwan Korukkok, had told police that she had obtained the credit card through a Sri Lankan friend.
The CID informed court that they were on the lookout for the Thai woman’s accomplice who had prepared the credit card for her and requested court to remand the suspect.
