Point Pedro Police said that a youth had succumbed to his injuries after the motorcycle he was riding had run off the road near Point Pedro in Jaffna.
The deceased had been on his way to Point Pedro from Jaffna, and had lost control of his bike due to excessive speed, his motorcycle had veered off the road towards the beach.
The youth had died after being thrown off the bike on to the rocky beach.
The deceased was identified as Pawakaran, aged 30 from Kar Kovilam in Point Pedro. The Point Pedro Police are conducting investigations.
