Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday requested the people in Batticaloa to endorse for a common approach towards taking Sri Lanka to the future at the coming presidential election. Prime Minister Wickremesinghe made this request at a series of pocket meetings held in Batticaloa yesterday.   He said an administration under New Democratic Front candidate would devolve powers to the provinces on basis of proposals which had come out during the tenures of Late President Ranasinghe Premadasa, former Presidents Chandrika Kumaratunga and Mahinda Rajapaksa. He said the intention of the SLPP is to capture power by arousing racism.
