Postal voting to commence on July 14

The National Elections Commision has announced that Postal voting for the 2020 general election will commence from July 14 to 17.  The Commission said it would hand over the postal ballot papers to the postal authorities for delivery to voters from June 30 to July 02.   Accordingly, the postal voting will be held on July 14 and 15 for employees of state institutions, except District Secretariats, Election offices,  The Police, tri-forces and Health officials.  Postal voting will be held for employees attached to District Secretariats, Election offices, Police, tri-forces and Health officials on July 16 and 17.  July 20 and 21 will be set to cast the postal voting for those who are unable to cast postal voting on the earlier given dates.  They will be provided with facilities to cast their votes from their workplaces.
