Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday paid his last respects to the Most Reverend Father Ernest Poruthota, who passed away the day before. The mortal remains of Father Ernest Poruthota is lying at the Sacred Heart Chapel of Archbishop House. Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith and Ministers Dinesh Gunawardane and Johnston Fernando were also present.
