A 46-year-old man was hacked to death while his wife, daughter and daughter-in-law were hospitalised with stab wounds at Prabodhagama in Weeravila on Sunday night.
Police said the injured were admitted to the Tissamaharama Hospital and then transferred to the Hambantota Hospital.
The deceased was identified as a resident of Prabodhagama an investigation is underway to arrest the suspects.
