A woman who had in her possession 50kilos of Kerala Ganja was arrested by the Kilinochchi police during a raid on a house at Murusamottai in Kilinochchi.
Under interrogation she had stated that the street value of the stock was valued at more than Rs. 7.5 million.
Investigations revealed that the stock of ganja had been smuggled from India and hidden in the suspect’s house until it was transported to another area for distribution and that she had been carrying on the contraband trade for a long time.
She was to be produced before the Kilinochchi court last morning.
