The body of a 67-year-old retired doctor was found inside his residence at Bloemendhal Road in Kotahena yesterday morning.
Police said the Kotahena Police launched an investigation into the murder following a tip-off. Investigation revealed that the victim was living alone in his two-storey building. Police said the victim’s hands and legs had been tied when they recovered the body. Police suspect that a theft who entered in the house might have killed the victim. However, police are yet to identify the suspects.
