Confidant of “Badovita Naleen” arrested with Rs. 3 million worth heroin

A suspect transporting a stock of 282 grams of heroin by motorcar was arrested by Mount Lavinia Police during a raid at Watarappala road in Badovita.   


Investigations revealed that the 29- year- old suspect was a resident of Kotapola in Deniyaya and allegedly a close confidant of a remand prisoner known as “ Badovita Naleen”, the kingpin behind the racket. The suspect under interrogation revealed that he had been carrying on with the racket on the advice of “ Naleen”. He stated that the trade value of the stock was more than three million rupees.  


Mount Lavinia Anti -Vice Unit carried out the raid on an intelligence report received by HQI Dileepa C.Perera and arrested the suspect who was carrying the stock of heroin to a buyer. A senior police official said the suspect was detained on Court order for further questioning.  


OIC Anti-Vice Squad SI Vijitha Ekanayakam PCs 34274 Piyasiri, 85921 Ruwan, 90026 Gamage, and 26674 Panampitiya are conducnting further investigations on the instructions of HQI Dileepa C.Perera, SP Samantha Wedage, and SSP Rohan Premaratne.
