Appeal for assistance by parents of a Buddhist Monk

The Ven. Wennappuwa Wimaladhaja Thera of the Dharmarama temple in Negombo who sustained serious head injuries in an accident in 2018 had undergone urgent surgery to remove a part of the scalp. The Ven.Thera who had been in a coma after the surgery was however fortunate to regain consciousness.

He is currently being cared for by his parents since he is yet to fully recover and is undergoing further treatment.   
The Ven. Thera’s mother said the cost of medication is about Rs. 5,000 per week. Doctors have recommended further treatment for more than a year.
