Perfect Ending

With the year coming to an end Prithi and Ratana hosted a fabulous cocktail party at her penthouse on the 22nd of December. Colombo certainly has a different dimension, looking out of the balcony, the views were fabulous. The hostess wore a glamorous off the shoulder evening dress with perfect jewellery to match and certainly looked a million dollars. A trio of musicians consisting of a cellist, violinist and a guitarist played delightful Christmas carols, classical and a mixture of pop music which certainly added to the ambience. The penthouse was beautifully decorated and the guests were mingling around enjoying various kinds of drinks provided by the bartender.  The canapes and buffet laid out for all to enjoy was a super menu catered by the Kingsbury Hotel. The service staff from the hotel were notably efficient and very accommodating to all of the guests.

It was very special for Prithi as it had been two years since she had all of her three children back in Colombo at the same time along with their spouses and all of her grandchildren. All of them were also there at this happy celebration,  running around adding more joy to the evening. It was a super evening  and a perfect ending to 2021. There is nothing like some good cheer to brighten everyone’s lives and this surely was an evening which made everyone at the party get into the jolly spirit of Christmas. Prithi never fails when throwing a party and this function was no different, perhaps only better.

 

As it is the last day of the year today, let us all look forward to a better 2022 as the last two years have been nothing but a nightmare. We have lost many dear friends to this virus and gone through some dreadful times. Wishing all of you readers nothing but the best for 2022, good health, love and happiness to every one of you!
