Us citizens believed that COVID-19 at its peak were dark times the country was going through. However, with the easing of the virus, whilst most countries are getting back to normal, we have plunged into the darkest times ever in the history of this country.
Wake up in the morning and be prepared for another round of horrible news. People are starving, mothers are desperate looking for money to buy food for their offspring, hundreds are in queues to purchase either gas, fuel, or kerosene, suicides are aplenty. The country is close to coming to a standstill. Additionally, employers are either unable to pay salaries or dodging doing so making it even more difficult to lead even a frugal life. Robberies are many and the order of the day.
Critiques galore. Politicians are bickering and do not seem to be interested in the greater good of coming together to put the country back on track.
Apart from stating the obvious, what can I say? All of us are going through these desperate times and experiencing the situation at various levels and am at a loss on what to write.
Prayer is something many are turning to and the only salvation left. Let us hope they are answered.
