Dada Ima and Vishama Baaga excel at CICFF

Consultant Oncological Surgeon Dr. Naomal Perera clinched the Golden Fox award for the best debut director at the recent Calcutta International Cult Film Festival 2020. Dr. Perera who wrote the script and directed ‘Dada Ima’ (End of the Hunt), received the award in Calcutta.

More than 40 films were nominated for the debut directors award 2020 at the festival. ‘Dada Ima’ will be released in the EAP film circuit by mid this year.
Interestingly, Jackson Anthony who played the lead male role in this movie, received the golden fox award at this festival for the best supporting actor for his portrayal in Lalith Rathnayake’s movie ‘Vishama Baaga’ (The Other Half).
