16th Raigam Tele’es on Sept. 19 Sms voting for popular categories starts today

The 16th episode of Raigam Tele’es - the tele-awards ceremony of the nation, which is also the biggest annual event of the small screen sphere in Sri Lanka - that was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will unspool on September 19, 2020 at the Shangrila Hotel in Colombo
Raigam Tele’es pioneered the concept of the declaration and felicitation of nominees recommended for awards at a grand ceremony prior to the final event making a revolutionary change in the awards ceremony culture
in Sri Lanka.
This “Nominations Evening” for the 16th Raigam Tele’es was held in February this year.
Key nominations for the September 19 awards ceremony:

Best tele direction – Supun Rathnayake / Ananda Abeynayake / Sunil Costa
Best actress - Shalani Tharaka / Samanalee Fonseka / jayani Senanayake / Umayangana Wickremasinghe
Best actor - Roshan Ravindra / Ananda Kumara Unnehe / Dasun Pathirana
Best script - A Do / Weeraya Gedara Awith / Sudu Endagena Kalu Awidin
Best make up - Wasantha Poornawansa / Buwaneka Ranawaka / Shalitha Gunawardana
Best art direction - Ajantha Alahakoon / Suneth Nandalal / Eheliyagoda Somathilaka
Best camera - Thisara Thulwan / Sajith Weerapperuma / Sisikirana Paranawithana

Most creative reality – 60 Plus / Band the Band / Heta Rata
The sms voting facility to select the most popular tele drama, most popular actor and actress will start today, August 31 and end on September 18. The Raigam Tele’es mobile app could be downloaded to facilitate sms voting.
