Buenos Aires (dpa) 27 Oct 2017- Former Argentinian president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on Thursday denied in court that she tried to cover up Iran’s involvement in the bombing of a Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires in 1994 in which 86 people were killed.

The accusations against her were “legal nonsense,” Fernandez said after leaving court, accusing President Mauricio Macri of “judicial persecution” of the opposition to gag it before adopting unpopular economic reforms.

Fernandez presented a written statement to judge Claudio Bonadio, who is investigating a possible cover-up - by the 2007-2015 president and 14 other people - of the involvement of Iranian officials in Argentina’s worst terrorist attack, in exchange for Iranian oil.
