zMessenger sweeps SLT ZeroOne Digital Excellence Awards

zMessenger, the multiple-award winning full service digital marketing agency in Sri Lanka, bagged four wins at the Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) ZeroOne Awards recently, thereby highlighting the stellar performance of the agency’s most innovative solutions.
The highlight of the four award wins was when zMessenger landed the ‘Overall Winner’ award for the ‘Best Use of Mobile’ category recognizing the overall innovations the company has done for multiple industry verticals.  
The agency also won the ‘Best Digital-Enabled Product/Service’ award for the ‘Learn English with the British Council’ platform, was declared the ‘Best Digital Media Agency’ and also won ‘Best Use of Mobile’ for ‘Consumer Watch’ solution designed and developed for the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA).

As for its award winning entries, Consumer Watch; a total farmer–consumer price management platform that was developed to provide seamless market updates on trading prices and market retail prices for the purpose of empowering farmer decision making on selecting market place for the harvest while empowering consumer with latest market prices according to the proximity. For CAA, this system enabled the reporting and identifying price fluctuations. From latest market prices, market news alerts, weather updates, farmer advisory to consumer complaint management made Consumer Watch stand out from rest of mAgri initiatives. These services connected for multi-channel content delivery with IVR, SMS, mobile app, social media and online with tri-lingual information. 
Developed for the British Council, the objective of ‘Learn English with the British Council through mobile’ is to create a simplified and interactive digital medium through which users can learn and practice their English language skills using their mobile phone in a cost-effective and convenient manner while also making the language learning easy and widely available. With this solution, people who found it difficult to gainaccess to quality language teaching institutes were approached by the British Council, widely-known to be the pioneer of English education in Sri Lanka, on their most used tool of communication. Content used in the service is specially-designed to suit the mobile phone and it is on par with content given out in 
the classroom.
