The advanced ComAp remote generator monitoring technology ensures that your generator is never down or disabled by using smart technology to monitor the performance and to send alerts when fuel or maintenance is required.

“This technology is already installed in some of Sri Lanka’s key corporate offices such as in the banking and telecom sectors,” said Metropolitan Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd CEO Charith Molligoda, sole distributors and agents for ComAp control solutions from the
Czech Republic.

A laptop, tab, smart phone or any other internet enabled device can be used to keep track of the generator or generators set up in multiple locations using the remote monitoring technology in-built in the generator controllers. While generator controllers offered by Metropolitan come retrofitted with ComAp’s generator controller to enable remote monitoring, any type of used or other branded generators can be installed with the ComAp remote monitoring controller and software as necessary.
Further, companies and homes that have concerns of fuel theft, fuel leakages, unauthorized genset access and usage, abnormal battery consumption, dangerous engine operations can now address and rectify these concerns via the mobile, tab or desktop from anywhere in
the world.

“In the event of a power failure, if you cant start the generator you have to call the service personnel who must travel to the genset location and rectify the problem, which requires valuable time, money and may possibly result in loss of business credibility to your organization. But, if your genset is remotely monitored the service personnel can view the generator parameters online and attempt to rectify remotely  which is possible in most cases, which will save time and money,” Molligoda said.
Usually a technician’s visit will have a charge in addition to the repair cost, this way customers can be guaranteed of saving money of technician visits. Further, Metropolitan offers a 24x7 monitoring facility for generators installed by the company to ensure customers are taken care of at all times.

Metropolitan Engineering, a member of Metropolitan Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd has been installing these units island-wide and offering this service to elite corporate and individual customers for the last two years and would now be extending the services to others who require
this service.
