Work In Sri Lanka, a volunteer-led brain gain initiative says interest is growing among expatriates to return to Sri Lanka in search of career and investment opportunities.

“We are delighted to see growing interest among the expat community to move back to Sri Lanka in search of both career and investment opportunities,” World In Sri Lanka (WISL) Founder Nayana Samaranayake said.

WISL will hold its quarterly meet up in Colombo on 19th May at 6.30pm at Clique.

This networking event is for people who have recently settled down in Sri Lanka or those who are thinking of settling down in the near future, after working abroad. It will be the perfect place for people to discuss the opportunities and challenges in Sri Lanka

The event is part of the annual event calendar offering by WISL that is attended by nearly hundred expatriate Sri Lankans who have recently returned to Sri Lanka from countries including Australia, USA, UK, France, Canada and Singapore, actively seeking information on settling down in Sri Lanka from Work In Sri Lanka volunteers.

A project of SL2College, WISL was launched in May 2013 with the aim of reversing the brain drain in the country. Offering comprehensive information on careers, living, education, housing and immigration for the Sri Lankan expat community through its website, WISL actively engages with them through quarterly informal forums.
