Union Assurance wins Diamond at SLITAD Awards

The SLITAD People Development Awards 2015 organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development was held for the third time recently.
Union Assurance PLC were proud recipients of the Gold award for the third consecutive year at this flagship event to recognize the people development initiatives by leading corporates in Sri Lanka. 

Furthermore, for the very first time in recognition of achieving the Gold award for three consecutive years, Union Assurance PLC was one of two organizations to be awarded the Diamond award, the highest recognition awarded by SLITAD. This epitomizes the effort UAL takes in developing people and the efforts of HR and L&D departments were duly recognized.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) have the primary objective of bringing together institutions from the Government, Industry and Education to evolve and develop HRD and T&D practices in Sri Lanka. 

The awards were presented to organizations that scored beyond the minimum standards of the following ten criteria: Business strategy, Learning & Development strategy, People Management strategy, Leadership & Management strategy, Management Effectiveness, Recognition & Rewards, Involvement & Empowerment, Learning & Development, Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement.
