NDB recently expanded its reach to the people in the North by opening branches in Tirunelveli, Manipai and Chavakachcheri. This strengthens NDB’s presence in the Jaffna peninsula to a total of 6 branches.
Concurrent to this important milestone and widened reach of the Bank in the Jaffna Peninsula, a recruitment drive was conducted by the NDB HR team. The recruitment drive consisted of a series of walk-in-interviews conducted with the aim of providing opportunities for school leavers, graduates and professionals to pursue careers in the banking industry.
The recruitment drive recently took place at St. John’s College Jaffna. The Bank’s initiative received an overwhelming response with the participation of 1500 plus candidates. The Bank has been able to fill the vacancies that existed in the North and East branches and recruit a batch of Trainee Banking Assistants for the region amongst others through this effort.
