DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has been certified as one of the best places to work worldwide for the third consecutive year. DHL Express has been reviewed in 59 individual countries, covering all continents, and is one of just 10 companies to receive the prestigious Top Employer Global certification.
For the third year running, DHL was also the only company to be certified in every continent around the world. The Top Employer designation has been developed to identify companies around the world which offer the best working conditions for employees to develop both professionally and personally. The programme is carried out by the Top Employer Institute, a global certification company recognizing the world´s leading employers for more than 25 years.
“Receiving the Top Employer Global certification for the third year running is a great achievement and honour for us,” said DHL Express CEO Ken Allen.
“Having motivated, engaged people is the basis of our business success and the passion, loyalty and professionalism of our 90,000 employees across more than 220 countries and territories has definitely translated into significant growth for our company. We know our service quality, success and market leadership are tied closely to the commitment of our people and so we need to ensure they love working for us. The Top Employer Global certification is a recognition of our efforts but also provides another opportunity to celebrate the winning culture of DHL Express.”
Commenting on this recognition, DHL Express Sri Lanka Country Manager Dimithri Perera said, “We are exceptionally proud that DHL Express has achieved such an recognition once again. It confirms that our HR practices provide an outstanding experience ensuring that our people develop and build rewarding careers. We are an Employer of Choice and recognitions such as this not only strengthen our employer branding efforts but help us to carve out a unique position in the market that we operate in.”
DHL Express was certified in 59 countries, 16 more than in 2016 and further proof of the company’s claim as the ‘world’s most international company’. The company scored particularly well in the criteria On Boarding in 2017.
“This is a confirmation of our insanely customer-centric culture and the passion we have to make sure we attract, retain, engage and develop motivated people in our organisation,” said DHL Express Executive Vice President HR Global and Europe Regine Buettner.
“Our people are vital because they are the ones delivering great service quality to our customers. Our people will always be our top priority and we will constantly work towards being an employer of choice.”
Each year, the Top Employers Institute assesses HR best practices around the world. Companies are reviewed regarding accomplishments within the key disciplines leadership development, performance management, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, talent strategy, on-boarding, learning and development and culture.
