UNF Parliamentary group will meet at 3.00 pm at Parliamentary complex today. During the meeting, it is expected to discuss key issues such as appointing a new working committee to the party and making the final decision on the Chief Opposition whip’s post.
An MP from the pro Sajith Premadasa group told Daily Mirror that they will raise the issue pertaining to the UNP working committee at today’s meeting. The UNP’s working committee became nullified on Tuesday December 31, 2019.
In addition, the final decision on the Chief opposition whip will also be made. Former Chief Government Whip Gayantha Karunatilleke is tipped to be the new Chief Opposition whip.
