Two suspects were arrested over the shooting incident that unfolded last Sunday night in Hanwella, in which a 23-year-old man was killed and two others sustained injuries, police said yesterday.
“The injured were admitted to the Nawagamuwa Hospital and the 23-year-old man from Ranala succumbed to his injuries. Also, a motorcycle and a van were taken into custody,” they said.
The incident occurred when gunmen who arrived in a van opened fire at Embulgama junction in Hanwella.
One of the injured was transferred to Colombo National Hospital from Homagama Hospital.
