Two JMIO suspects taken into custody

Two members of the Jama’ath Millath Ibrahim Organisation who participated in the camp conducted by Zahran in Nuwara Eliya have been taken into custody by the officials of the State Intelligence Service and the Ampara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.  

 Mohamed Ismail Salman, one of the suspects taken into custody has been undergoing training under Sadik Abdul Haq of JMIO before joining the Nuwara Eliya camp of Zahran and he is also a third year student of the South East University.   


As revealed, he has arranged lectures for the students by Sadik Abdul Haq at the university.   


The other suspect Mohamed Usanar Mohamed has been working as the JMIO leader of the Eastern Province.   


He was also responsible for coordinating members for the camps conducted in Nuwara Eliya on the use of weapons, explosives and teaching IS ideology, according to the security services.
