• ICTA introduces online video conferencing

The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) has introduced online Government video conferencing solutions based on open-source technologies to enable government organisations and employees to conduct their work effectively. 

Government Organisations can now conduct online meetings using http://meet.gov.lk  
ICTA said http://meet.gov.lk has a mobile app support both Android and iOS.  

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus in the country, the government extended the ‘Work from Home’ period from March 30 to April 3.  
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD) this will apply to all State, semi-government and private sector entities except those categorised as essential services.
