The votes on supplementary estimates for two expenditure heads which were defeated on March 28 will be taken up tomorrow (5), subsequent to the vote on the third reading of the budget, State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne said yesterday.
He said the government decided to get the supplementary estimates approved on Friday so that the two ministries could go ahead with their operations.
Meanwhile, Leader of the House Lakshman Kiriella presented 31 estimates to cover the expenditure heads of the Internal Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry and the Megapolis and Western Development Ministry.
