A suicide kit was recovered from National Thawheed Jamath (NTJ) leader Zahran Hashim’s brother Rilwan’s house in Kattankudy following a joint search operation carried out by the STF and police yesterday.
Police said Rilwan’s father-in-law S.H Nazzar and mother-in-law A.L.S. Pajiriya were arrested following the raid.
During the search, police also recovered two mobile phones, several ATM cards, passbooks, several pictures of Rilwan’s children and identity cards.
Rilwan and his wife were killed following the explosion that took place in a house in Kalmunai during a gun battle.
