The Attorney General had directed the acting IGP to submit copies of audio and video recordings of 12 telephone conversations between MP Ranjan Ramanayake and interdicted HC Judge Gihan Pilapitiya for his consideration. According to AG’s State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, these recordings are relating to two ongoing cases (B 299/2020 and B 42/2019) at the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court in connection with 12 phone conversations between the two suspects during the period between January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2019.
