Sri Lanka’s oldest woman dies at 117

A 117-year-old woman who is claimed to be the oldest female in Sri Lanka died at the Nagoda Hospital this evening, Hospital police said.

They said the woman was admitted to the hospital at 8.30 a.m today and died at 7.40 p.m.

She was a resident of NehinnaWatte in Neboda, the Hospital police said.
