While saying it was unlikely that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe would enter Parliament through the party’s single slot in the national list, UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said yesterday the party would decide on Monday as to its nominee.
Former UNP MP Vajira Abeywardene said the UNP did not have a tradition of sending defeated candidates to Parliament through the national list.
