Seven suicide bombers arrested

Seven trained suicide bombers from Kattankudy identified as followers of National Thawheed Jama’ath organization had been arrested in Hambantota on Monday, a senior police officer revealed.  

The suspects are alleged to be close associates of Saharan Hassim the brain behind the Easter Sunday terror attacks, had been brought to Hambantota by a brother of Hassim.  
It is revealed that the suspects had been trained very discreetly in Hambantota over a long period on the use of arms. Mohamed Nasar Mohamed Asath who blew up inside the Zion Church in Batticaloa is said to have provided the training instructions.  


These suspects had been taken into custody by the OIC of Kattankudy Police Inspector N.P. Kasthuriarachchi and a police team.  


The suspects are to be interrogated in detail about the affairs of the National Thawheed Jama’ath organization, and their connections to the bomb blasts on Easter Sunday.
