SLFP - CC removes CBK from Attanagalla party organiser post

The Central Committee (CC) of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) decided to remove former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga from her post as the party’s organiser of the Attanagalla electorate in the Gampaha district.  

At the last presidential elections, she supported UNP presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa despite the SLFP’s official position to throw its weight behind President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the then candidate.   

The party’s Central Committee that met on Thursday evening took this decision.
