A trishaw driver and two women were killed and four others injured in a collision between a three-wheeler and a van belonging to the Navy at Polgahawela yesterday morning, police said.
They said the accident had occurred at 10.30 am at the Medalanda bend on the Kurunegala-Ambepussa main Road. Three children who were in the three-wheeler and the van driver were among those injured. They were rushed to the Polgahawela Hospital and later transferred to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.
