Rishad quizzed by CID for nearly 10-hours over Easter attacks

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday recorded over a 9-hour- long statement from former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen over Easter Sunday attacks, Police Spokesman Jaliya Senaratne said.  
 
He said the former minister’s statement was recorded by the CID for the first time over investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.   


Over 200 persons including Rishad Bathiudeen’s brother Riyaj Bathiudeen and lawyer Hejaaz Hizbullah were arrested by the CID and the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) over the Easter Sunday attacks which claimed over 260 lives last year.
